Workshop of Artisan Group Quang Thinh in Ninh Binh in the north of Vietnam

Mai Vietnamese Handicrafts was founded in 1990 in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. The fair trade organisation works with producers from Vietnam's rural areas. Mai sells their handicraft products on the local markets and also exports them. In cooperation with the artisans, the organisation is also actively involved in product development.

One of the nearly 30 groups that Mai cooperates with is Quang Thinh. This group has around 100 members and is based in Ninh Binh in the north of Vietnam. They work with sea grass and create, among other things, the round baskets in our shop.
