The Bengal jute used for making these bags is locally grown, coloured with natural dyes and hand-woven by rural women. The sewing is done in Dhaka by another women's group who are part of the Tarangos program that aims to strengthen personal skills for women who have suffered gender violence in the
slums of Dhaka.
