Our beautiful Alvess Pictures are made in the Mexican state Hidalgo. These so called Telangos originate from the Otomi embroidery tradition. Otomi art is not only a way for woman to make a living, but also a way of telling their people´s story: Each village has its specific use of colors, textures and forms. Religion and family traditions find a symbolic expression. So every Tenango is a embroided representation of a rich and complex culture. Our beautiful piece of embroidery comes in a small wooden frame.
