Education is a universal human right. However, 260 million children worldwide are not in school. Visions for Children e.V. is a non-profit organization from Hamburg that has been working towards a world in which every child can read and write for over 16 years.

In order to come closer to this vision, the team implements educational projects with local partner organizations, currently in Afghanistan and Uganda. Both countries that are often only associated with conflict, violence and poverty, but have so much more to offer: from breathtaking landscapes to incredibly kind and welcoming people, who the Visions for Children team is able to connect with on their project trips.

Some of the most memorable moments from these journeys over the years were now selected and are shared here in an exclusive print sale - the profits will be donated to Visions for Children e.V. and their educational work.

Print 8: Crossing Lake Victoria

The small town of Katosi is located south of the Ugandan capital of Kampala. Just off the north shore of Lake Victoria, Katosi has traditionally been a fishing village and a trade route between nearby islands and the mainland. In recent years, Katosi has become increasingly important economically as a source of fish exports to Europe.

The picture was taken on a Visions for Children project trip to Ugandad by photographer and supporting member Christina Feldt.

All prints are available just one time each in sizes A5, A4 and A3. They are printed on high-quality Hahnemühle Fine Art paper.
