FOLKDAYS presents SEVAR Studios by Hila & Wana Limar. The debut collection of the two sisters, launched in December 2020, features two fairly produced, handmade pairs of earrings whose delicate designs complement each other. These are the stud earrings with a lapis lazuli stone, which are called Goshwara 2.

The designs were created by Hila Limar (architect & chairwoman of the board at the non-profit organisation Visions for Children e.V.) and Wana Limar (creative producer, presenter, Visions for Children e.V. ambassador and member of their PR team). The earrings were then carefully handcrafted in the workshop of a goldsmith from 925 silver and dark blue lapis lazuli. Different craftsmen are involved in the creation, the goldsmith and the hakak (gem-cutter), both of whom are employed in the workshop in Afghanistan's capital Kabul. In the last step the earrings are plated with 14-carat gold in the workshop.

With this cooperation, the sisters Hila and Wana Limar, who were born in Afghanistan, also introduce their new jewellery label SEVAR Studios. SEVAR Studios combines the sisters' shared affinity for artistic design with their educational, sustainable aspirations – and therefore connects their longstanding commitment to the educational sector, especially through the non-profit organisation Vision for Children e.V., with their love of art and aesthetics. Profits generated by SEVAR Studios will be invested in a goldsmith training programme for girls and young women in Kabul, which Visions for Children e.V. is planning for 2022.

Please note that each pair is handmade from natural materials. No earring is like the other, but a beautiful one of a kind. Therefore, variations to the photos may occur.
