Our Seyha Scarf is hand-woven by our weavers from Takeo province in Cambodia. To produce this beautiful pattern our weavers use a technique called Ikat weaving. Patterns are made by tie-dying the yarns used in the weft. The careful placement of the yarn then creates the pattern. Since every single cotton thread has its specific tie-dye pattern which has to be correctly placed when weaving, this technique is very complex and time consuming. Because Ikat weaving has a very long tradition in Cambodia, many of our weavers are true specialists in the weaving technique.
