Sofia Salazar has recently made a name for herself on Instagram (@__hiedra__) with her embroidery work and handmade prints: the human body is always in the centre here, reduced to its essential lines and forms, yet always recognizable.
As part of the "FOLKDAYSx" collab series, the artist and textile designer, who lives in England, has exclusively developed a motif for a wall hanging, which is the result of her characteristic interplay of abstraction and figuration, mostly of the female body.
The silk scarves were hand-printed in Berlin using a screen printing process so that each wall hanging is slightly different and unique.
