Meet Kaya – the latest result of yet another collaboration with the Wayuu artisans, the largest indigenous population group of Colombia. Just like the previous two models Adriana and Kisa, is the Kaya bag made in the traditional manufacturing technique of the mochilas wayuú, which are an elementary part of the Wayuu culture.

The production process begins with the round base of the bag, from which the sides are pulled up in a circle using a crochet hook. Various coloured threads run parallel to each other in dense stitches. Due to the handmade nature of each bag, each piece is unique, which means that the height can vary slightly, and each bag base has an individual pattern in the bottom of the bag.

A blue cotton strap serves as a handle, allowing the bag to be carried in at least two different ways. The one-sided way of carrying the cotton strap, which increases the handle length to 75 cm, and the version with the doubled cotton strap, which results in a handle length of 40 cm. This versatility not only gives the bag an aesthetic appeal, but also practical application options depending on personal style and requirements.
