View collectionEND OF SUMMER SALE
Here at FOLKDAYS we work with an ongoing collection rather than changing seasons as many of you may know. The handmade products we offer you are always carefully selected with the intention that they will be timeless companions for a long time to come. Nevertheless, it sometimes happens that we discontinue individual products from our range. That's why we have a little surprise for you today:Â
Â
Starting now, you will receive up to 40% off selected products from our range. Most of the products will no longer be part of the FOLKDAYS Collection and are only available in remaining sizes. We've also temporarily added a few more gems – for a limited period of time, we're giving you a 10-20% discount on some of our most popular timeless pieces.
 Â
Offer cannot be combined with other promotions or discount codes.

Discover our brand new collaboration: Together with ethical brand SABINNA, we have created a 10-piece glass bead jewellery collection inspired by SABINNA's signature floral print. All pieces are handmade by our long-time partner Sidai Designs in Tanzania and as such, are one-of-a-kind.
Â
Reflecting on the design inspiration, SABINNA founder Sabinna Rachimova says: "SABINNA's aesthetic is inspired by my grandmother and my multicultural background. Born in Central Asia, I moved a lot with my family as a child and lived in many different countries. Handicrafts and creative work, which my grandmother taught me, were often the only constant in my life and what gave me a sense of home. When I started SABINNA, I wanted to capture those memories in prints, silhouettes and designs. Our signature SABINNA prints include abstract floral patterns. Floral patterns are often labelled as boring - but I wanted to give it a twist and show that they can be very inspiring. For the collaborative collection with FOLKDAYS, we took a selection of our signature prints and combined them with the FOLKDAYS aesthetic. The result was a collection of earrings designed to evoke knotted Central Asian rugs, a warm spring day in the hometown and a contrasting childhood. And of course everything had to be produced in a responsible and ethical way."
Â
This collection is the special result of an international co-creation process between FOLKDAYS in Germany, SABINNA in the UK/Austria and Sidai Designs in Tanzania. In 2019, Sidai Designs already realised the Fruit Jewellery Collection by FOLKDAYS and This is Jane Wayne as part of the collab series 'Inspired by'. Three years later, another collaborative project follows with this Floral Jewellery Collection, for which the artisans have once again produced small pieces of art. Especially in these difficult times, even for small businesses, it gives us hope to see what comes out when we join forces, combine our expertise and give free rein to creativity. We hope that the joy that has gone into the collection can be felt in every earring!

View collectionIntroducing: FOLKDAYS x Wildling
FOLKDAYS and Wildling Shoes have teamed up to deepen their close bond of many years with a three-part collection. Featuring a belt, bag and summer shoe design, the collection is made from the same handmade cotton fabric in summery, fresh yellow and white - and is sure to inspire anticipation of the warmer days ahead. Whether worn solo or styled as a complete look, the unique woven pattern and warm tones make each of the three FOLKDAYS x Wildling pieces a very special eye-catcher.
Â
FOLKDAYS and the sustainable minimal shoe company Wildling Shoes have long shared a commitment to a different, and fairer fashion industry. Following the credo "Made from tradition, dedication & cotton. 100% Craftswomanship", the collection was made from organic Kyrgyz cotton by a women producer group collaborating with Nomad Store in Kyrgyzstan. Using the ikat technique, the products were made by the artisans in two phases: In an elaborate process, the cotton threads are first spun and then naturally dyed with turmeric. In the second phase, the yarns are then woven by hand. The result is a beautifully textured, vibrant surface made from this individual yarn in sunshine yellow and white, whose imperfect-perfect look tells of the manual production method.Â
Â
The Ay Bag and the Gul Belt are now available online and in our Berlin Store.

View collectionStarting a Revolution
Lisa Jaspers, founder of FOLKDAYS, wrote this book with her friend Naomi Ryland. "Starting a Revolution – What we can learn from female entrepreneurs" is a business book for revolutionaries. It turns conventional business wisdom on its head and presents you with some radical alternatives.
Since founding their companies, Lisa and Naomi have been on the lookout for meaningful business advice. Advice that helps to build great companies but that also reflects the challenges of our times: climate change, deeply divided societies, growing inequality, and a disillusioned and burnt-out workforce. Hardly any of the advice they heard from the startup world, and read in business books, seemed up to the challenge. Most business advice is built on the paradigms of "growth at all costs", competition and pressure. It felt outdated. So they went on the lookout for new ideas and new role models, choosing to focus on a group of people who have been previously underrepresented in business (literature): women. Â
Over the last year, Lisa and Naomi have interviewed some of the most progressive female founders in the world. What they learned has radically changed how they run their own businesses, and now they want to share this vision of the future with you. Covering topics such as organisational development, leadership, recruitment, personal development, team building, innovation and fundraising, this is a hands-on business book for everybody who wants to rethink the world of work.Â

Those of you who have been following us for a while may know that we work with a growing collection rather than changing seasons. Our aim is to offer designs that you will always like and that will stay with you for ages, because for us that is also an important part of sustainability. Nevertheless, it still sometimes happens that we remove products from our range. This can have various reasons, many of which reflect our early days, when we had to learn to assess what quantities were right for us (a learning and experience process most label founders could tell their own story about) and what exactly meets your needs. That's why we have leftover stock of some products that we have already decided not to reorder as they fill up our already small storage. Letting them gather dust there instead of finding new owners is definitely not something we think is sustainable in the long run.Â
This is why we decided to hold a spring sale: to give some products we have to let go of another chance to shine and find a new home.
